Foster Care and Adoption: A Pathway to Understanding
Written and illustrated by Kinship House Art Therapist, Heather Wilson, MA, ATR.

The book is a unique interactive, illustrative and educational book created to help children de-mystify the process and their feelings as they move into foster care and adoption. This book is an engaging tool to help children understand the people and steps involved in their transition to permanency. Ideally, the book is used by a clinician or caseworker in therapy with a child. Spaces and pages are left open for the child to draw, write and personalize the book with their own "life story". The book becomes the child's tool to carry with them as they move forward.
